International Womens' Day (2017)
On 8th March, 2017 at the premises of Serampore IMA Bhavan, International Women’s Day was observed on behalf of IMA, Serampore Branch where more than 60 eminent personalities attached to different professions were present and they were felicitated. After that Rabindranath Tagore’s song competition among the girls’ students were also organized on this occasion.
World Population Day (2017)
On 16th July,2017, World Population Day was observed by IMA, Sewrampore Branch by arranging a Seminar where eminent personalities attached to different profession attended the programme as Guest Speakers. On 14th November, 2017, Children’s Day was observed at the branch premises through organizing a Sit & Draw competition in which prizes were given to the successful participants.

76th BIMACON 2017
On Saturday and Sunday the 4 th and 5 th February, 2017, 76th IMA state Conference-BIMACON-17 was held at the premises of Manikamal Hospital, Swaraj Mukherjee Ayurvedic College, Chhoto- Belu, Delhi Road, Serampore, under the aspices of IMA Bengal State. The conference was attended by more than 300 doctor members. The conference was inaugurated by Member of Parliament, Hooghly, Dr. Ratna Dey Nag accompanied by President of IMA Bengal State, Dr. Pijush Kanti Roy, Dr. Ujjwal Kumar Sengupta, Hony. Joint Finance Secretary, IMA Headquaters, Dr. Amitabha Dutta, Hony. State Finance Secretary, Dr. Santanu Sen, Secretary IMA Bengal and many others. In her inaugural speeh, Dr. Ratna Dey Nag elivered before the august gatherings that IMA in India was the bgiggest organization having more than 2.5 lakhs members but we cannot fight united against our threats, so many times doctors particularly junior doctors and practicing doctors faced the problems which we cannot fight as a big team. She also cited that in spite of rendering our community services, we can advisethe policy makers of our country to give positive suggestions and guidance to the administrative authorities. He expressed her good gesture to IMA Serampore Branch for arranging such type of platforms for sharing the views among the doctors. He also expeted that junior and senior doctors get the opportunity to updating their medical knowledge which can be implemented to their services for the betterment of the communityas a whole. Other doctors cited in the same harmonic tune. In the conference there was discussion in the subjects of management of Heart failure, in diabetic neuropathy, pain management, Managing Deep Venous Thrombosis, knee replacement-myths and facts, Patient safety, Food allergy in infancy, management of COPD and Acute Coronary thrombosis, management of recurrent UTI, PCOS and its management, Stem cell pracrices etc.by the eminent Consultants of Govt.and Corporate Hospitals. After the scientific session, cruise on the ganges and a entertaining cultural function were performed.
